Even if you have a very affectionate bitch and want to breed her to have puppies, you’d better not do that and get her spayed. As with all toy breeds many problems may occur during the pregnancy and delivery and the dog may even die. Only reputable and experienced breeders should breed these dogs. Responsible specialists screen the dogs for genetic problems prior to adoption. The bitch should be musculoskeletally able to reproduce and it is important to have radiographs of her hips taken to be sure there is enough space for puppies.
