Chihuahua Pups
Chihuahua pups are rare in rescues, so they should be looked for in a kennel.
These animals are very fragile and sensitive, and hence they require careful handling. They should not be exposed to cold, because they are susceptible to rheumatism and respiratory infections. They appreciate a warm apartment, but must enjoy an opportunity to run. They usually do well without a yard and can be litterbox trained. Breeders do not recommend these dogs for families with young children or if there are other pets in the house. These animals can be hard to train for inexperienced dog owners and should not be trusted with larger dogs.

The average life span of these dogs is 10-15 years. Very small dogs have a decreased life span and are very vulnerable to cold climate. These dogs are nervous by nature and may shiver from being frustrated as if it is cold. Little babies are rather difficult to raise if you don’t have the breeding experience. The mortality rate among them is rather high, so you’d better buy a dog from reputable breeder than raise them yourself. Due to the small size the bitches have difficulties giving birth.
